How to apply, step by step

Applying for jobs and rugby vacancies on RugbyJobs.com is easy! Here’s exactly how it works, from finding a live vacancy through to sending your application.

  1. 1

    Find the live job listings

Either click the SEARCH JOBS button on the home page, or select ‘View Jobs’ from the drop-down menu under ‘Jobseekers’ at the top of the page. This takes you to the current live job listings on the site.

  2. 2

Click on a job that interests you

Open any listing to read the full job details, including the role, location, and requirements.

  3. 3

Click the “Apply for Job” button

Every listing has an APPLY FOR JOB button — this starts the application process for that specific role.

  4. 4

    Fill out the form

Complete the application form, add your cover letter, and attach your current resume/CV.

  5. 5

    Click “Send Application”

Submit the form and your application is sent directly to the employer. Good luck!

Note: if a client/employer wants you to use their own website to apply, clicking APPLY FOR JOB will take you directly to their website to apply there instead.

How do I find live rugby job listings?
Click the SEARCH JOBS button on the RugbyJobs.com home page, or select ‘View Jobs’ from the drop-down menu under ‘Jobseekers’ at the top of the page. Both take you to the current live job listings.
What do I need to apply for a job?
A cover letter and your current resume/CV. You’ll add these when you fill out the application form after clicking APPLY FOR JOB on a listing.
What happens when I click “Apply for Job”?
You’ll be taken to the application form for that specific role, where you fill in your details, add a cover letter, and attach your resume/CV before clicking Send Application.
Will I always apply directly through RugbyJobs.com?
Not always. If a client/employer wants applications handled on their own website, clicking APPLY FOR JOB will take you directly to their site to apply there instead.
Can I apply for rugby union and rugby league jobs in the same way?
Yes. The application process is the same regardless of code — search or browse listings, open the one you want, click APPLY FOR JOB, and follow the same steps.
Can I apply for jobs from anywhere in the world?
Yes. RugbyJobs.com lists vacancies worldwide, and the same application process applies wherever you and the vacancy are based.
What should I include in my cover letter?
A cover letter tailored to the specific role and organisation you’re applying to gives you the best chance — the form gives you space to add this alongside your resume/CV when you apply.
How will I know if my application has been received?
Once you click Send Application, your application is submitted directly to the employer (or to their own site, if that’s how they handle applications).
